Workplace Rights Rally - PAWA to the People

Show Up to Protect Your Rights at the Workplace Rights Rally

Have You Had Enough of This Insanity? It’s time to make your voice heard at the Workplace Rights Rally.

Dear Member,

I’m writing with a direct ask — and a shared responsibility.

Please make every effort to attend the Workplace Rights Rally on Wednesday, January 14, at 12:00 PM, at Upper Senate Park in Washington, DC. This is more than a rally — this is about standing together to protect your rights at work and supporting coworkers across the federal workforce who are counting on us.

Not everyone may be able to step away from work, and we respect those limitations. However, if you can’t attend in person, you can still contribute to the cause. In just five minutes, you can urge your Senators to support our rights through a prepared message via Action Network. It only takes a few clicks and entering your address. Click here to take action.

How President Trump’s Executive Order Attacked Workplace Rights

Earlier this year, President Trump issued an executive order that directly targeted collective bargaining for approximately 85% of unionized federal employees, including all of us at VA Central Office. This order is a direct assault on our workplace rights and could have long-term repercussions for the federal workforce.

Thankfully, Congress responded with the Protect America’s Workforce Act (PAWA). This legislation seeks to undo the executive order and restore the workplace rights that federal employees deserve. The PAWA has already passed the House with bipartisan support and is now in the Senate. But public pressure is needed to ensure it moves forward.

Why We Need the Workplace Rights Rally Right Now

Standing together matters. Lawmakers need to witness federal employees coming together in person to demand the restoration and protection of our workplace rights. Your presence at the rally, or your participation by contacting your Senators, will have a real and lasting impact.
